International Student Team Competition in Mathematics (ISTCiM-2022)

International Student Team Competition in Mathematics was organized by the University of Silesia, Katowice (Poland) and Uppersilesian Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society, will take place from November 3-6, 2022 at the Institute of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Technology.

The competition official language is English.

The competition was held between Bachelor, Master and PhD students who interested in mathematics.

The Competition problems were in the following areas: Algebra and Combinatorics; mathematical analysis (with topology and set theory); functional equations (including differential equations); geometry and linear algebra; measure theory and probability theory.

In the Competition participated teams from Austria, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Slovakia, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Malaysia and Turkmenistan.

Master student of International Economics and Management faculty Oguldondi Gulyyeva won First Prize and Gold medal.

4th year student Information technology faculty Muhammetnur Bagbekov won First Prize and Gold medal.

3rd year student of International Economics and Management faculty Lachyn Mammedova won Third Prize and Bronze medal.

2nd year student of International Economics and Management faculty Esenov Dovletmyrat won Third Prize and Bronze medal.

As member of National Team of Turkmenistan participated also students from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan, Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, S.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, Turkmen Agricultural Institute and The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
