The International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) has reason to celebrate as its talented students made an impressive mark at the 2nd Al-Khwarizmi International Mathematical Olympiad (AKhIMO-2023). The competition, held from October 23 to 29, 2023, in the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan, witnessed exceptional performances from IUHD students, solidifying their reputation as bright mathematicians.
AKhIMO-2023, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was a gathering of 168 students from Central Asian countries, all eager to showcase their mathematical prowess. With five challenging problems encompassing Mathematical analysis, Linear algebra, and Combinatorics, the competition provided a rigorous test of mathematical skills.
Representing IUHD at this prestigious Olympiad were four promising students who demonstrated extraordinary dedication and expertise.
Myratgeldi Annamuhammedov won Gold medal and an absolute 1st ranking, Medine Odayeva, a 2nd-year student won Gold medal, Nurmyrat Atayev won Silver medal.
Furthermore, as members of Turkmenistan's National Team, students from multiple institutions including Magtymguly Turkmen State University (TDU), Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov (TOHU), Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan (HGI), State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (TDEI), S. Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute (TDMugI), Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction (TDBGI), Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management (TDYDI), Turkmen Agricultural Institute (TOHI), and Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan (ITIT) represented their nation with pride and achieved notable results.
In the individual standings of the 2nd edition of Al-Khwarizmi International Mathematical Olympiad, students from higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan distinguished themselves by winning 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 7 Bronze medals.
