The university consists of 5 faculties, 1 language-training department and 13 departments. The university’s faculties include the Faculty of social sciences, the Faculty of international law and international relations, the Faculty of international economics and management, the Faculty of information technologies, the masters program, and Language learning department.
IUHD has 16 undergraduate programs - philosophy, sociology, international public and private law, international relations and world politics, journalism, international economics and trade, management, finance and insurance, as well as programming, computer science, information and communication technologies and 2 graduate programs – masters programs in education management and business administration.
IUHD premises are modern buildings, equipped with advanced technology. The university is intended for training 2 thousand students, where all conditions for studying and scientific research of the university community are created. The university complex includes an indoor sports building with spectator stands for 240 people, open sports grounds, a dining room for 300 people, 3 buildings for student dormitories for 800 people, as well as many special classrooms for lecture and practical classes.
The university has signed memoranda of cooperation with Wright State University (USA), Sungkyunkwan University (Republic of Korea), Hanyang University (Republic of Korea), Tokyo University of Foreign Languages (Japan), University of Management and Science (Malaysia), Institute for Peace and Diplomatic Studies (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) , The University of Applied Sciences in Krems (Republic of Austria), the University of the "1st December 1918" Alba Iulia (Romania), the University of ADA (Azerbaijan Republic).
